Vishniac’s American work from the 1940s and 50s represents an exciting and vast new body of material that has never been printed or published. More than ten thousand of Vishniac’s negatives have recently been digitized, spanning the 1920s to 1950s, and his entire archive will soon be available online and accessible to the public, in partnership with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
Roman Vishniac Rediscovered opens January 18, 2013 here at ICP.
