Russell Means, 1939-2012

Russell Means–political activist, co-founder of the American Indian Movement (AIM), and actor–has died. Born on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, Means is pictured above with other AIM leaders during the 71-day standoff with the FBI at Wounded Knee in 1973.
