Letizia Battaglia will be honored with the Cornell Capa award at the 25th Annual Infinity awards. In 1985 she received the W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography for her work documenting the effects of the Mafia on Sicilian society, a project she worked on for 10 years as a newspaper photographer before winning the Grant. She later went into Sicilian politics.
