Weegee devoted an incredible amount of time during the last twenty years of his life to making “distorted” photographs, many of which were caricatures. In fact his last major project was caricatures of the 1968 presidential candidates… Here Weegee appropriates and plays with the 1865 portrait of Lincoln by Alexander Gardner…
