Edna Mae Meade, Ohio – Mississippi Valley Flood: Album of a Red Cross Nurse, 1937
In January 1937, Edna Mae Meade, a Red Cross nurse from Peoria, Illinois, volunteered to help the flood-stricken Ohio River valley. This is the photo album that she compiled of her three month (January to March) service.
In Nashville, due to the flooding, The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is temporarily closed, but the exhibitions and collections are safe and dry.
